President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived in Shanghai for the china import expo during where a host of deals are expected to be negotiated and sealed. The president touched down at Shanghai on Saturday night.

The China International import expo, 2018, whose agenda is to open market for Kenyan goods and strengthen bilateral relations started on 02/11/2018 and shall come to a close on Tuesday, 6/11/2018.

This comes after president Uhuru’s recent remarks on Chinese fish incensed the China government. Will the president sign for more loans? For now, it is a wait and see scenario.

The Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Amb Monica Juma, was received on Friday (2/11/2018) by Mr Zhu, Dir. of Foreign Affairs of Government of Shanghai and Kenya’s Ambassador to China Amb. Kinyanjui at Pudong International airport.
